About the Art

Bound by Eastern and Western artistic influences, the artist merges Eastern art concepts by painting calligraphic lines and vivacious brushstrokes into oil paintings in a non-representational way. This particular piece is about peace and friendship between two women. 

About the Artist

Born in Shanghai, China, Ivy Wu grew up in a melting pot of cultures. She immigrated to the United States in 2013. She’s an active artist, participating in numerous exhibitions and juried shows, as well as winning awards. Recently, she won the Spirit Award in the 39th annual Sidewalk Arts Festival at Savannah College of Art and Design, where she attends as a master’s student.
